Squarespace’s website subscription plans are reasonably priced and offer all the features you could need for your growing business. With annual plans ranging from $16/month to $65/month, Squarespace is an affordable choice for small business owners who want to keep costs low. Whether you need a simple website to showcase your services or an advanced e-commerce shop with hundreds of products, Squarespace has a pricing plan for you. They offer four main website subscription plans, each with their own valuable features.

In addition to Squarespace’s website subscription plans (required to host a live website) they have an assortment of features available for purchase to take your website to the next level. These add-ons include Scheduling, Member Areas, Email Campaigns, Domain Names, and Google Workspace.


How Much Will My Squarespace Website Really Cost?

Squarespace Hosting Plans:

1. Personal Plan

$16/month (pay annually)

The Personal plan is best for individual or a small businesses seeking a mobile-optimized website to display work, publish blog posts, display contact information and establish a basic online web presence. This plan provides you with all of the tools needed to create beautiful, modern, well-rounded website, at a fraction of the cost of the more advanced plans.

  • 24/7 customer support

  • Up to 1000 website pages

  • Free custom domain name (for your first year)

  • Built-in SSL security

  • Up to two website contributors

  • Built-in website analytics

2. Business Plan

$23/month (pay annually)
$36/month
(pay monthly)

The Business plan is a more robust option, well-suited for those looking to make use of more premium features like E-Commerce, Custom Code Injections, and Third-Party Integrations like MailChimp or Google AdSense. This plan is also great for large teams that need logins for multiple website contributors. The Business plan is ideal for those looking to establish a more authoritative web presence, host a small e-commerce shop, and access more advanced marketing features (such as a promotional pop-up and announcement bar).

Key features include:

  • A fully integrated e-Commerce shop (with 3% transaction fees)

  • 1 FREE Google Workspace user for the first year

  • Announcement bar and promotional pop-ups

  • Custom code (use of code blocks, custom code injection and even developer mode)

  • Mailchimp integration

  • Commerce analytics (sales by product, purchase funnel breakdown, abandoned cart metrics)

  • Unlimited number of contributors (good for large teams)

  • FREE $100 in Google Ads Credit


3. Commerce (Basic) Plan

$28/month (pay annually)
$40/month
(pay monthly)

If selling goods and services online is your primary goal, you’ll need at least the Basic Commerce plan. This plan supports smaller commerce based businesses who don’t need all of the advanced marketing tools. There are many commerce-focused templates available to choose from, all with the ability to sell unlimited items, gift cards, collect customer reviews, and even sell products on Instagram.

  • Ability for customers to create an account

  • Powerful eCommerce Analytics

  • 0% transaction fees

  • Product reviews

  • Limited availability labels (to increase urgency)

  • Accept donations

4. Commerce (Advanced) Plan:

$52/month (pay annually)
$72/month
(pay monthly)

The Advanced Commerce plan is best-suited for large stores that process many orders and need advanced shipping and marketing options. This plan allows you to send automated email reminders to customers who have abounded their carts, as well as automatically calculate carrier shipping rates to give your customers the best, most affordable shipping options.

  • All of the Basic Commerce features

  • Abandoned cart recovery

  • Ability to sell subscriptions

  • Advanced shipping options

  • Advanced discount options


Domain Names:

  • Squarespace: $20+ per year (FREE first year for new domains)

  • Namecheap: $13+ per year

There are many websites selling domain names, but Namecheap is our favorite for its affordability and excellent customer service.

Free plans may have limited features, however you may upgrade to a paid plan at any time to access additional capabilities for the growth of your business.

Paid Squarespace Add-Ons:

Member Areas: $10-$40/month

Squarespace Member Areas allow you to sell membership access to online courses, classes, video series, paid newsletters, exclusive communities and more directly on your website, without the need for third-party apps. You’re able to create, share, and manage paid content all within the Squarespace dashboard.

All Member Area plans include:

  • Unlimited Members

  • No ads or Squarespace branding

  • Free, one-time, or recurring fee payment structure

  • Seamless and secure member experience

  • Member management

  • Integrated analytics

  • Members can pay with PayPal or credit card

  • 24/7 Squarespace customer support

Scheduling: $15-$50/month

Squarespace Scheduling allows your clients to book appointments or classes directly on your website. They can pay for the appointment or class right on your website and reschedule or cancel if needed. Squarespace Scheduling syncs with your Google, Outlook, iCloud, or Office 365 calendar and even sends out appointment reminders, follow-ups and intake forms to your clients.

Email Campaigns: $7-$68/month

Squarespace Email Campaigns is an add-on feature that you can use to send branded marketing email campaigns directly from your website. If you’re not interested in integrating a third-party email marketing tool like Mailchimp, this is a great option for you. There are tons of email templates to choose from, editing is super easy in the dashboard, and you’re able to manage your subscribers and section them off into lists. All plans come with marketing analytics plus unlimited subscribers and mailing lists.
